CALLISON, COLLISON, WAYNE posted by Marilyn HANSEN on Friday, September 19, 1997

I'm am trying to find any information on the CALLISON/COLLISON surname in Delaware Co. The first indication I have for them is John Collison 1830 census and then Mary 1840 census. There are some marriages for this surname in the 1837-1850 time period that I suspect may be children of John. This John may possibly have been married to Mary WAYNE so do not know if he was deceased by 1840 and Mary is the widow. I do not have emumeration for either of these census records which are difficult for me to get in Mississippi. I am trying to tie John into my line. I have a John Callison Jr in the 1820 census of Clark Co, Ohio. If I can make this connection, I can connect john back to James and Isabel CALLISON of 1742 Virginia. Thanks for any help.
