Around 1856 Smith Orr JONES moved into this area, and the last time I can find a record was 1884 when he came back to Orrville, OH for his brother's death. He married Jane or Sarah KENNEDY here. He was named after Smith Orr, the founder of Orrville, OH. Looking for any information on this individual from census, name of children, where they might have been burried. He is the only one I haven't found out of 11 children. His father was William JONES and mother Elizabeth FRANCE. The lived in Baughman Twn, Wayne Co., OH a mile east of Orrville, OH.

I found William and his wife Matilda BOSE HATFIELD in the 1880 Kosciusko Co. census I think in Pararie township . William was 33 years old and born in Ohio, Matilda 25 years old born in Ohio as well. They had one child, a daughter named Cora, age three or under. I know there was at least one other child named Charles born in 1883. This is all I know so far with exception of a possible link to a Owen Hatfield the son of a William Hatfield. Owen was born in Delaware in 1773, moved to Montgomery co. Ohio, and had sons named Levi and Owen Jr. who's decendants eventually moved to Indiana.

William was the 6th son of William HATFIELD b 1809 in Lincolnshire, England, and Mary THARP/THORP 1814-1877. William emigrated to America between 1817-1822 to Clairdon Twn, Marion Co, OH with his parents Henry HATFIELD 1789-1849 and Elizabeth HOLLENSWORTH HATFIELD 1790- ?m and his five younger siblings. He married Mary THARP/THORP in 1832 in Marion Co, OH (they had 11 children between them) and moved in 1850 to Bourbon Twn, Marshall Co, IN, where he died in 1859.
